SNMP Research Announces DSSP Internet Management Appliance-RF

HP Software Universe 2007, booth #369. June 18-22, 2007. The Venetian and Sands Expo and Convention Center, Las Vegas. David Reid presented a session entitled “HP OpenView Network Node Manager SPI for SNMPv3.” This session discussed secure network management, including security and administration features of SNMPv3 and how the SPI for SNMPv3 works with HP OpenView products.

CA World 2007. April 22-25, 2007. The Venetian and Sands Expo and Convention Center, Las Vegas. David Reid presented a session entitled “Support for SNMPv3 and Overlapping IP Addresses.” Read the CA World announcement.

SNMP Research International Begins Shipping Release 16.2

HP Universe. SNMP Research attended HP Universe in Vienna, Austria, December 12-15, 2006.

HP Technology Forum. SNMP Research attended the HP Technology Forum in Houston, Texas, September 18-20, 2006. We taught the following sessions:

  • "Half-day Training: Training in SNMP Fundamentals" and
  • "Standards-based Secure Management of Networks, Systems, Applications, and Services Using SNMPv3 and HP OpenView Network Node Manager."

HP Software Forum. SNMP Research attended the HP Software Forum, June 18-22, 2006, in Miami, Florida. Three sessions featured speakers from SNMP Research. Dr. Jeff Case also presented a half-day tutorial on June 18th entitled "Training in SNMP Fundamentals." The meeting handouts are available below.

IBM has certified that SNMP Research's integration between SNMP Security Pack and IBM Tivoli NetView has passed all of the testing required for "Ready for Tivoli" certification. SNMP Security Pack is an innovative solution that adds full support for secure SNMPv3 to the NetView management application. SNMP Research supports SNMP Security Pack on all platforms on which NetView is available (Microsoft Windows, Solaris, AIX, and Linux). IBM's suite of Tivoli management products have been widely deployed throughout corporate enterprises. While many of the Tivoli manager applications support SNMP, they do not yet support the secure version of the protocol, SNMPv3. SNMP Research's Security Pack adds support for secure SNMPv3 to Tivoli NetView, Tivoli Switch Analyzer, and Tivoli Mid-Level Manager. SNMP Research and IBM's development labs are working together to make this integration more powerful.

 SNMP Research News: 1995
The Bilingual Request and Security Subsystem (BRASS) is one of SNMP Research's most exciting products for 1995. Although BRASS has been available previously, its importance in the community has become evident during this year.

The Management Application Development Kit (MADK), a product designed for ease of management application development, is emerging as a powerful way to develop the important applications which are the key to managing our networks, applications and systems.

SNMP Research International, Inc. can now license SimpleTester, a testing tool intended for the commercial market.

On the agent front, EMANATE continues to emerge as a very important portion of the run-time extensible agent market.

SNMP Research has recently completed porting work of some of our products to UnixWare's latest release as well as to NCR UNIX.
