SNMP Research International announces Release 15.3

Knoxville, TN, August 13, 2001 - SNMP Research announces release 15.3 of its product lines. Some of the improvements made for the new release include conformance to the recent Internet standards documents (Requests for Comments, or RFCs), inclusion of electronic documentation, updates to the latest platforms, and enhancements to speed, performance, and error handling. The upgrades for release 15.3 affect the core libraries, agents for open and embedded systems, agent adapters, and management stations and applications. Distribution of release 15.3 began in early August with source code customers.

SNMP Research strives to provide its maintenance service customers with the latest in SNMP technology. To keep our customers current with SNMP technology, we periodically issue upgrades to our software service customers, such as product compliance with recently issued RFCs. Since the release of version 15.2, several RFCs have been published or updated by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). SNMP Research has upgraded its products to meet these latest versions. RFC updates include those to SNMPv3, Coexistence among SNMPv1, SNMPv2, and SNMPv3, and various Distributed Management (DisMan) MIB documents.
